| This page shows a selection of photographs taken at the site where Wordsworth himself found his inspiration for "The Daffodils" on April 15th 1802, 200 years later to the day. Clearly weather conditions vary from year to year, and the mild Spring experienced in 2002 meant that the daffodils were probably further advanced than in 1802. In fact, they were definitely coming to the end of their season, to the extent that it was quite difficult to find "a host of golden daffodils". The thumbnail photos shown here can all be double clicked to enlarge them. They are all available for sale as high quality giclee prints using the catalogue number shown, e.g. WW-JK-003. |
